This study aimed to describe the personality and self-actualization of the main character in the novel Hujan by Tere Liye. The data collection was done by using the read-note, while the data analysis was done by using descriptive measures be reading a novel, data inventory, data reduction, data classification, presentation of results, and concludes the study. The results showed as follows. First, the prominent personalities on the main character in the novel was named Lail is independent, intelligent, jealous and sociable. Second, self-actualization on the character Lail in the novel Rain by Tere Liye work consists of two objectives, namely the desire to become a nurse and to get love from Esok. Until the end of the story, they both eventually get married and live together on earth to get through the summer together and face the difficult times with the interests of each joint.
